Visitors are reminded that hi-vis vests and sensible footwear must be worn at all times. Entry will not be permitted otherwise.
Hi-vis vests and footwear are available for purchase at the yards prior to entry.
Important information – please read before visiting our breaker yards
The last permitted entry to our yards is half an hour before closing time each day. If you have reserved a breaker vehicle online, you will need to contact the yard to arrange your all-day appointment, where you can break the vehicle on-site.
The battery will have been removed from the vehicle by a member of staff before your visit, however we do have a range of batteries that are available for purchase at our yards. You will not be able to purchase the vehicle’s catalytic converter or frame under any circumstance and you are buying the right to remove parts from a vehicle and not the vehicle itself; you will not become the registered keeper of the vehicle and you will not get a log book for it. If you purchase a breaker vehicle, you are purchasing the parts of the vehicle that you can remove and take away yourself in your pre-booked timeslot.
If you would like to purchase the engine or gearbox from a vehicle, we will need to remove these from the vehicle for you, due to their size and weight. As such, there will be an additional fee to cover our labour costs for removing these car spares (see our price lists for more information). For safety reasons you are not permitted to remove the engine or gearbox yourself. See our used engines page to view the engines that have already been removed from vehicles and are readily available to purchase.
Tools are not provided, so you may bring hand tools and battery-powered tools with you to the yard. However, please be aware that power tools and cutting/grinding equipment are not permitted on-site. You will be supplied with a wheelbarrow or sack trolley for moving your used car parts, and must be wearing a Hi-vest at all times, which we can provide for a cost if you do not own one.
When you visit our breakers yards you will need to sign in and out at reception and agree to our safety rules, which include wearing sensible footwear and a Hi-vis vest at all times.
