U-Pull-It Bid & Breaker Service

Your Gateway to Pulling Parts from Thousands of Vehicles!

Get your hands on the parts you need at prices you won’t believe, all hassle-free with our UPI Bid & Breaker Service. The UPI Bid & Breaker Service gives you access to a large selection of whole cars to pick parts from through Copart’s auctions, including CAT B vehicles without needing a licence. UPI will bid for your vehicle of choice on your behalf, and once paid for, you can break them for parts at either our UPI York or UPI Inverkeithing yards. We will then dispose of the bodyshell and issue the Certificate of Destruction on your behalf.

UPI Breakers Yard - Whole Cars 1

The UPI Bid and Breaker Service Process

  • Step 1

Choose the vehicle you want to break: With access to over 40,000 CAT B vehicles, you’ll have plenty of choice. Simply make a note of which vehicles you want to bid on to begin the process. Depending on which UPI site you want to break your vehicle at, you’ll have to select vehicles from these Copart locations:

For breaking at UPI Inverkeithing, select vehicles from Copart Belfast, Whitburn or East Kilbride.
For breaking at UPI York, select vehicles from Copart York, Sandtoft, Peterlee, Chester, Wolverhampton, Corby, Wisbech or Sandy.

  • Step 2

Complete the UPI Bid and Breaker Service Form: Once you’ve identified the vehicle you want to bid on, simply fill in this form and we’ll bid on the vehicle(s) of your choice for you. If you are lucky enough to win your chosen vehicle(s), we’ll reach out to arrange the next steps.

  • Step 3

Pay for your vehicle(s): before we can arrange your breaking session, we will need to take payment for the vehicle(s) including transport to your chosen UPI site.

  • Step 4

Arrange Breaking Session: once your vehicle(s) have arrived at your chosen UPI site, our team will contact you to schedule a breaking session. Don’t forget to tell us if you would like us to remove the engine and gearbox for you at the time of booking; we are unable to remove them once you are on site.

  • Step 5

Breaking Session: attend your session, remove the parts you need, and take them away.

  • Step 6

Bodyshell disposal: once you have removed all the parts that you want to, we will arrange for the bodyshell to be crushed and the Certificate of Destruction issued.

  1. The following terms and conditions govern the relationship between the Copart Group and the Customer with regard to the bidding, storing and disposing of vehicles purchased by the Copart Group on behalf of the Customer.
  2. Reference in these terms and conditions to the “Copart Group” means either U-Pull-It Limited, or its sister company, Copart UK Limited, as applicable.
  3. When you choose to strip a Vehicle at either of U-Pull-It’s sites York or Inverkeithing by selecting “UPI York” or “UPI Inverkeithing” on the previous page, Your request to bid on a Vehicle will be a request to U-Pull-It Limited. This means that Your Agreement in respect of the Vehicle will be with U-Pull-It Limited and all Your obligations to the Copart Group under these terms and conditions will be to U-Pull-It Limited specifically.
  4. The Customer requests that the Copart Group bids as agent on behalf of the Customer on the vehicles entered under the Lots at the auction (“Auction”) in which they are offered for sale (the “Vehicle” or “Vehicles”). In consideration for the Copart Group placing such bids, the Customer warrants that it will pay the Fees and the purchase price of the Vehicles that are purchased at the Auction to the Copart Group within 5 working days of the Auction.
  5. It is a condition of the Copart Group agreeing to bid on behalf of the Customer, that the Customer will assign, free from any restriction, the Vehicle chassis, frame and rights in the relevant registration documents to the Copart Group for each Vehicle. The Customer hereby acknowledges that, when the Customer has finished removing the parts it requires from the Vehicles, that the Copart Group will destroy the Vehicle chassis and frame and notify the relevant vehicle registration authorities in the United Kingdom of such destruction.
  6. Upon the Customer making payment of the Fees and the purchase price of the Vehicles to the Copart Group in cleared funds, the Customer shall be entitled to attend the Copart Group’s premises, notified by the Copart Group to the Customer, for the purpose of stripping any parts from the Vehicles, save for the chassis and frame which shall be owned by the Copart Group. The Customer must complete the removal of the parts it wants from the Vehicles within the term of the breaker session which will run from 8:30am to 3:00pm Monday to Saturday or 9:30 to 2:00pm on Sundays.

  8. The Customer shall be able to make changes to its instructions (but not to bid limits) to the Copart Group under this Agreement in respect of bidding on Vehicles in writing at any time until 5pm on the day before the Auction for the particular Vehicle takes place. Thereafter, the Copart Group will not be obliged to act on any further requests or instruction given to it by the Customer.
  9. UNLESS WE ARE LIABLE TO YOU FOR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY OUR NEGLIGENCE OR FOR OUR FRAUD (IN WHICH CASE OUR LIABILITY IS UNLIMITED), WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY LOSS OF INCOME OR REVENUE, LOSS OF BUSINESS, LOSS OF PROFIT OR LOSS OF ANTICIPATED SAVINGS. HOWEVER, THIS SHALL NOT PREVENT YOU FROM CLAIMING AGAINST US FOR LOSS OF, OR DAMAGE TO, YOUR PHYSICAL PROPERTY WHICH IS CAUSED BY OUR NEGLIGENCE.  IN ANY EVENT OUR MAXIMUM AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU IN CONTRACT, TORT, DELICT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE OR BREACH OF STATUTORY DUTY), MISREPRESENTATION, RESTITUTION OR OTHERWISE, ARISING UNDER OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE PERFORMANCE OR CONTEMPLATED PERFORMANCE OF THE AGREEMENT, SHALL NOT EXCEED THE FEES.
  10. THE CUSTOMER HEREBY AGREES TO INDEMNIFY, KEEP INDEMNIFIED AND HOLD HARMLESS THE COPART GROUP, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES AND AGENTS AGAINST ANY AND ALL COSTS, DAMAGES, PENALTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LEGAL AND OTHER PROFESSIONAL COSTS, THAT MAY BE PRESENTED TO THE COPART GROUP, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES AND AGENTS IN RESPECT OF THE VEHICLES, THE BIDS AND/OR ANY ACTION OR INACTION TAKEN BY THE CUSTOMER RELATING TO THE SAME.
  11. If the Customer fails to pay any sum due pursuant to this Agreement or otherwise falling due to the Copart Group, the Customer shall be liable to pay interest to the Copart Group from the due date for payment at the annual rate of five per cent (5%) above the base lending rate from time to time of the Barclays Bank plc, accruing on a daily basis until payment is made, whether before or after any judgement. In addition, the Customer hereby irrevocably authorises the Copart Group to sell any Vehicle owned by the Customer which is located at any the Copart Group premises and for the Copart Group to deduct and retain from the proceeds of any such sale, all Fees and other charges owing to the Copart Group by the Customer.
  12. The Copart Group reserves the right to cancel this Agreement if it is prevented from, or delayed in, carrying out its obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control including, without limitation, acts of God, governmental actions, war or national emergency, acts of terrorism, protests, riot, civil commotion, fire, explosion, flood, bad weather, epidemic, lock-outs, strikes or other labour disputes (whether or not relating to its workforce) or restraints or delays affecting carriers or inability or delay in obtaining supplies of adequate or suitable materials PROVIDED THAT, if the event in question continues for a continuous period in excess of thirty (30) days, the Customer shall be entitled to give notice in writing to the Copart Group to terminate this Agreement.

In such circumstances, the Copart Group shall return any sums already received from the Customer in respect of the Vehicle (including any Fees), but the Copart Group shall have no further liability to the Customer in respect of the Vehicle.
  14. Each right or remedy under this Agreement is without prejudice to any other right or remedy whether under this Agreement or not.

  16. Failure or delay by either party in enforcing or partially enforcing any provision of this Agreement shall not be construed as a waiver of any of its rights under the Agreement. Any waiver by either party of any breach of, or any default under, any provision of this Agreement by the other party shall not be deemed a waiver of any subsequent breach or default and shall in no way affect the other terms of the Agreement.
  17. Neither the Customer or the Copart Group intend that any term of this Agreement shall be enforceable by any person that is not a party to it, by virtue of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999, except that either Copart UK Limited or U-Pull-It Limited may enforce any term of this Agreement.
  18. This Agreement is personal to the Customer and the Customer agrees that it will not transfer its rights or obligations under it to anybody else. The Copart Group reserves the right to assign or subcontract any or all of its rights and/or obligations under the Agreement to a third party if the Copart Group has a good reason to do so.
  19. This Agreement will be governed by English law and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts UNLESS this Agreement is concluded in Scotland, in which case it will be governed by Scottish law and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

Bid Range £Increment £
0 – 101
10 – 505
50 – 10010
100 – 1,00025
1,000 – 5,00050
