Arrival on Site
- You must only park in designated car park spaces.
- You must report to reception, read these Safety Rules and sign to accept them.
Accident Reporting
You must report any accidents or incidents that happen on site to a member of staff immediately.
Safety Equipment
- You must wear a high‐visibility vest on site at all times; this will be issued to you upon signing in at reception.
- You may be required to wear a hard hat; if required this will also be issued to you at reception when signing in.
- You must wear sensible, enclosed footwear at all times. Open‐toed shoes, sandals and the like are not acceptable footwear.
- You must wear sensible clothing when on site (e.g. shirts and long trousers).
- All safety equipment issued to you must be returned to reception when you have completed your work.
Tools / Equipment
- You are not allowed to bring any power tools or cutting/grinding tools onto site. Only battery‐operated tools and hand tools are allowed.
- We will not provide you with any tools apart from wheelbarrows and sack trolleys in which you may transport parts to your vehicle.
- You may not bring any lifting equipment (e.g. jacks) onto site.
Engine Removal
- Due to their size and weight, you may not remove engines or gearboxes/transmissions.
- All engines and gearboxes/transmissions will be removed by U-Pull-It prior to your visit. If you wish to take the engine or gearbox/transmission you will need to pay a fee to cover our labour costs in removing these parts.
Hazardous Substances
You may not bring any hazardous substances on site.
Work Bays
- You will be allocated a specific numbered work bay after you have signed in at reception.
- You must keep to your own bay and not wander into other bays or any unauthorised areas.
Moving Vehicles
- All vehicle movements on site will be fully supervised by U-Pull-It staff.
- U-Pull-It staff will supervise all work areas.
- You must always keep to designated walking routes and use the defined crossing points (where provided).
- You must take care at all times and make yourself aware of any moving vehicles (i.e. do not ignore flashing lights and reversing alarms).
Children / Young Persons
No children or persons under the age of 18 will be allowed on site.
Alcohol and Drugs
- Under no circumstances should alcohol or drugs be brought or consumed on site.
- We may refuse admission to anyone who in our judgement appears to be under the influence of alcohol/drugs or who represents a safety risk to themselves and/or others.
Customers who do not observe and follow these rules will be asked to leave the site.
Remember to always work safely and keep your work area tidy. If you are in doubt about any of the safety rules on site please speak to the U-Pull-It supervisor on duty.
