Behind the Scenes: Creating the new U-Pull-It Advert

Ever wondered how we created the new U-Pull-It advert? From concept to completion, we’re pulling back the curtain to reveal the hard work and creativity that has gone into bringing our latest commercial to life. Join us as we ask our U-Pull-It Marketing Team about the behind-the-scenes process. We’ll highlight the inspiration, challenges, and triumphs that shaped this exciting project.

U-Inspire:

Every great advert starts with a spark of creativity. For our new U-Pull-It commercial, that spark ignited into a full-blown concept which revolved around using the “U” in “U-Pull-It” as a key part of the branding and messaging.

Q: What were the initial concept and main inspirations for the “U” Motif?

A: We wanted something that would be identifiable and pay homage to our brand name. Something recognisable and on brand.

U-Create:

With the concept locked-in, it was time to bring it to life. To achieve this we needed a team of talented and enthusiastic individuals to realise this exciting project. From the creative minds behind the scenes to the enthusiastic U-Pull-It staff who stepped into the spotlight, discover how we transformed our concept into a captivating video.

Q: Who were the key people involved in the creation of the video?

A: In-house marketing, agency partners and our always helpful UPI teammates. The individuals featured in the video were actual staff members – Jamie, Stuart & James. Our staff are always on hand to help and we felt it was important to us to keep our regular staff involved in the filming of the video. They were all very friendly and keen to get involved.

Q: What was the atmosphere like at the York yard on the day of shooting?

A: On the day of filming, the site was open and we had many members and staff curious to see what all the excitement was about. Despite a busy day, everyone worked together and helped bring the advertisement to life.

U-Overcome:

No film shoot is without its challenges. From unexpected weather changes to logistical hurdles, our team faced their fair share of obstacles during production.

Q: Were there any challenges during filming?

A: One of the biggest challenges we faced was the weather. We weren’t sure if it was going to rain or not so we had to make contingencies whether we were going to film indoors or outdoors, something that would have a big impact on the filming.

U-Watch:

After months of planning, creative brainstorming, and tireless effort, we’re thrilled to unveil the final product: our new U-Pull-It advert. This campaign is the culmination of hard work from our talented team, and we can’t wait for you to see the result of our labour.

Q: Where can I watch the advert, and when will it air?

A: The advert is live now. Keep an eye out on ITVX during the airing of your favourite shows. Additionally, the advert is also available to view on our YouTube channel.

As you can see, from the initial concept to overcoming challenges, our dedicated team poured their hearts and souls into bringing this vision to life. The result is an advert that we’re incredibly proud of.
